[Also in Group XXVI] In a wheel cylinder 1 of an hydraulic motor vehicle brake the piston 2 is packed by a cup packing 6 and, in order to dampen piston vibration, the back of the packing which engages the end face of the piston, or the said end face of the piston, is formed with depressions 7 or studs. The depressions may be in the form of blind holes or concentric grooves.
