[Also in Group XXXII] A cord 15 is connected to a cover sheet 11 by first securing the cord to a plate-like member 14 and then enclosing the plate-like member 14 between the cover sheet 11 and a facing sheet 12 by securing said sheets together along a line 16 closely corresponding to the periphery of the plate-like member, the cord 15 passing out through one of the sheets 11, 12. The sheets 11 and 12 may be of polyvinyl chloride reinforced with a woven core of synthetic filaments and they may be joined together by high-frequency welding or by sewing.
