Abstract

923,159. Hand trucks. T. W. ROBINSON. and C. H. SHIELDS. Sept. 26, 1961, No. 34490/61. Class 108(1). A hand truck comprises tubular members 1, 2 integral with bent handles 1<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>1</SP>, forwardly facing brackets 7 adapted to engage beneath a load, an axle 3 mounting (freely rotatable) wheels 4, 5, and (load locating) discs 7-10 fixed to the members 1, 2 and to the axle. In operation, the truck is tilted as in Fig. 3 to engage its brackets 7 beneath an upright frame which may contain gas cylinders. The truck is then rocked back on its wheels to engage the discs 7-10 with the frame members and bring the load to a transporting position. Specification 923,158 is referred to.
