922,446. Lighting fittings with louvre screens. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGSG.m.b.H. Oct. 19, 1961 [Oct. 19, 1960], No. 37562/61. Classes 75 (2) and 75 (4). [Also in Group XXV] An electric lantern, especially one embodying a fluorescent discharge tube, has a lightdiffusing screen of louvre form supported by a V-shaped backbone which is supported in the lantern housing by flat spring-loaded bolts which project through apertures in the bottom edge of the backbone and support the louvre assembly by means of lugs. The backbone may also serve as a reflecting surface. In the form shown, louvres 9 are caused by a V-shaped backbone 8 having apertures through which project the ends of bolts 3 having lugs 7 which engage under the backbone. The bolts are carried by support plates 4 mounted in the limbs of a U-shaped bracket 2 and guided by angle members 5 on the housing, a helical spring 6 urging the bolts 3 into locking position.
