Abstract

922,346. Cable conduits. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. July 24, 1959 [July 26, 1958], No. 25547/59. Class 36. [Also in Group XXX] A protective casing for cables and the like is mounted on one side of a conveyer frame and comprises supports spaced along the conveyer frame, a side shield extending along the frame and over the supports, and a roof member secured detachably to the side shield. As shown, Fig. 1, supports 3, secured to side members 1 of a conveyer frame, are provided with flanges 9 which support a side shield 4 carrying a detachable roof member 5. The cables and the like are supported by members 7 mounted on the supports 3 and each provided with an upwardly directed flange 8. Between the supports 3 there are spaces 6 for receiving cable or the like connecting members 14. In a further embodiment, Figs. 2, 3, a replaceable side shield 15 is secured to a bracket 16 secured to the conveyer frame 17 by means of bolts 21 which also support brackets 23 carrying support members 24 for the cables and the like. A roof member 25 secured to the plate 15 by bolts 26 may be inverted, Fig. 4 (not shown), to form a guide for other cables of coal winning devices.
