921,883. Endless conveyers. DURKOPPWERKE A.G. Dec. 13, 1961 [Feb. 20, 1961], No. 44621/61. Class 78 (1). An endless conveyer delivers garments (not shown) on hangers 4 suspended from pockets 3 on a carrier T to stations preselected by presskeys 7 operating index members 8, 8<SP>1</SP>. A sensing device A, shown inverted in Fig. 4, is provided at each station, the station address being determined by an axially fixed sensing member 14 and two pre-set sensing members 13, 13<SP>1</SP>. All the sensing members may rotate about an axle 12 and each is connected to a locking lever 16, 17, 18 which hold a release arm 20 against a tension spring 21. When a carrier T arrives at the station with the correct address all three sensing members 16, 17, 18 are operated by the index members 8, 8<SP>1</SP>, 9 to release release-arm 20 which moves taker part 27 into the path of movement of the garment hanger which thus slides on to receiver rod 24. After a certain number of articles has been collected end 33 of a locking lever 32 is depressed so that pawl 34 engages a recess 35 in taker part 27 to prevent further discharge at that station. Taker arm 27 is re-set by the action of a roller 5 on arm 28 as the carrier T passes the station. By suitable connecting rods taker arm 27 may be operated from a station to the left or to the right of the conveyer (Figs. 1 and 3, not shown).
