921,754. Grabs for handling material. SCHWERMASCHINENBAU S. M. KIROW. VEB. Aug. 11, 1961, No. 29027/61. Class 78 (4). Rams 6 (Figs. 1 and 2) for operating the jaws 1, 2 of a grab are housed in a head 4 which contains also a casing 12 containing an electric motor pump set providing operating fluid, and the jaws 1, 2 are connected for conjoint movement by means lying between the walls of the grab head 4 and the casing 12. As shown, the jaws are joined by links 10 which may be connected to the jaw 2 either at the point 13 shown or at a point in line with the jaw hinge 4.
