A fluid pressure-gauge comprises a housing connectable at its base to a source of pressure fluid and having an inwardly extending neck 18 with a flat face 19 on which a Bourdon tube support 21 is mounted with interposed sealing means, the neck having a bore 37 extending therethrough for the passage of fluid and accommodating an axially disposed damper screw 44 which extends past a lateral orifice 36 leading to a passageway 35 in the tube support 21. The pressure of fluid in the line 3 is transmitted by a flexible member 42, made of beryllium copper, through a restriction 37a and passage 35 to the Bourdon tube 22. The restriction 37a consists of a tapered thread and can be adjusted by rotation of the damper screw 44 to vary the restriction to liquid flow. The member 44 is provided with a cross slot 44a which is directly underneath an opening 47 provided for filling the body of the gauge with a damping fluid such as oil. In order to allow for expansion of this fluid caused by changes in the ambient temperature a bladder 48, having a vent 50 to the atmosphere, is provided. This will contract as the fluid expands. The Bourdon tube is filled with liquid by means of a port 21a, a bleed valve 43a in the lower end of the member 42 and a further one (not shown) in the closed end of the tube 22 being provided to facilitate this operation. The gauge is stated to be of use in measuring tne pressure existing in the mud used in well-drilling.
