920,993. Glazing bars. UNITED STATES STEEL CORPORATION. Aug. 8, 1960 [Aug. 6, 1959], No. 27451/60. Class 20 (3). A glazing bar comprises sheet metal (e.g. stainless steel) rails 29, 24 lock-seamed at 25 and 34 and a keeper rail 30 bolted to the rail 29 forming a channel which receives a rubberlike packing-strip 38 and a single or double glass pane 13. Channels 27 receive rubber-like sealing gaskets 28 to close the joint between the sash and the frame 15, and the window may be pivoted vertically on trunnions 14. Angle brackets 18 (Fig. 1, not shown) fit in the rails to join the corners.
