920,686. Ice-cream. E. G. WALLACE, and H. G. MEISSNER. Nov. 30, 1959 [Dec. 1, 1958; Jan. 27, 1959], No. 40641/59. Class 49. [Also in Group XVII] Ice cream intended for consumption in a cone is protected by a flanged cap 12 of aluminium foil &c. The cap may have a tear strip or string 39 or be notched at the rim to facilitate removal. Strengthening ribs (Figs. 2, 4, 8, 9, not shown) may be provided. A series of caps may be held in an apertured sheet 24 for filling by nozzles above a conveyer belt carrying them to a freezing chamber (Fig. 11, not shown). The holder 24 and filled caps are supplied to a retailer who may apply the cones 18 located in a further sheet 32. The sheet 24 is withdrawn after inverting the assembly, leaving the sheet 32 charged with cones ready for sale.
