Abstract

918,619. Bridges; temporary flyovers. STROLOGO, E. R. C. A. Oct. 30, 1961 [Sept. 6, 1960], No. 30663/60. Addition to 915,483. Classes 20 (1) and 107. A temporary flyover comprises platforms 1 hinged to telescopic supports 3, 4, at least two adjacent supports being interconnected by bracing members 8, 9. The bracing members comprise rods 10, 11 each adjustably connected to plates 14, each plate having a slot 17 to receive a bolt 18. One end of each platform 1 rests on an expansion rocker bearing 22 secured by a bolt 23 to a lug 21 on the support member 3 and the other carries a lug 22b which is pivotally mounted on another lug 21. The gap between the ends of the platforms is filled by members 24 or, to accommodate curves in the flyover, by members of wedge shape in plan used in conjunction with alternative forms of lug 21 (not shown).
