Abstract

918,473. Toys. MINIC Ltd. Oct. 19, 1961 [Jan. 12, 1961], No. 1346/61. Class 132 (3). A section of track comprises a base 1 of insulating material having a slot 5 in its upper surface two conducting rails 7, 8 in the slot being separated and pressed one against each of the side walls of the slot by a separate insulating strip and which is a push fit between the rails and above which the rails extend so that in use a guide member of a model vehicle can run along the top of the strip and between the rails. The insulating base 1 is hollow with shallow side walls 2 and ribs 3, 4 and in which slots 5, 6 are formed. Part of the ribs is interrupted to accommodate the tongues 9, 10, one at each end of the strip. One rail has a bent extension and the other rail is partly exposed. The extension contacts the adjacent exposed portion of the adjacent rail. A projection 12 on the base fits into a recess 13 in an adjacent rail and has two recesses 16 in solid parts formed in the base into which pegs fit.
