Abstract

916,840. Packaging. HEUER, R.P. Aug. 23. 1961 [Aug. 30, 1960], No. 30446/61. Class 94(1). In a package for dolomite bricks, or container filled with hydrophilic material is placed inside a gas impervious wrapper or a bag containing the bricks. The package comprises an external support which may be a simple rigid sheet or a pallet. In one embodiment, a sheet 25 and a cardboard insert 26, with the bricks stacked on top are placed on a pallet 20. A container 30, holding material 36 such as calcium chloride is placed on top of the pile. The sheet 25 is wrapped around the bricks and the container 30, and the overlap 46<SP>1</SP> sealed by heat or a tape. Sheets 48, are placed at the ends and the ends of the sheet 25, folded over them and sealed. Straps 60 secure the package to the pallet. In another form the bricks and container are placed in a bag, the open end of which is drawn over the pile and secured by a band, Fig 5 (not shown). Access and viewing means may be provided for facilitating changing the hydrophilic material.
