A turf-working implement comprises a frame adapted to be hitched to a powered traction vehicle and supporting a plurality of rotary turf-working units such as mowers or slitters, the frame also being provided with a power unit which is in operative connection with each turf-working unit. Mower units 18, 19 and 15 are mounted by parallel linkage on a frame 10 adapted for attachment to a tractor, each mowing unit being driven via chain and pulley drive and universal joints from the output shaft of a motor 14 mounted on the frame. The mower units may be urged into contact with the ground by means of levers 16, 21 and 22 connected with the units through springs 17, 21a and 22a respectively. In a modification (see Fig. 2) the implement comprises a frame 31 coupled by means of a drawbar 27 to a tractor and supporting a motor which is in driving connection with the cutting cylinders of three mower units 40, 43 and 44. Each of the forward units is attached to the draw bar by means of links 47 pivotally connected at their ends to brackets 46 and 48 mounted on the unit and drawbar respectively. The links 47 are positioned to the front and rear of a floating section 50 of the transmission system between the motor and the cutter cylinder. Means may be provided for holding the outrigger units in a tilted position for facilitating transportation of the implement. Specifications 702,383, 723,103 and 916,632 are referred to.
