915,831. Winding yarns; bobbins. JOHNSMANVILLE FIBER GLASS Inc. Aug. 26, 1961, No 30833/61. Classes 120 (2) and 120 (3). A centrifugally-expansible mandrel for a package core 17 comprises a first set of radiallymovable bars 60 extending between a first pair of axially spaced flanges 29, 40 and at least a second set of radially movable bars 65 extending between additional axially spaced flanges 32, 44. The bars 60 are angularly spaced between the bars 65 and overlap the bars 65 at their inner ends. The core 17 may be of laminated paper.
