Abstract
915,788. Coated substrates. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 6, 1961-[Dec. 23, 1960], No. 44263/60. Addition to 890,228. Class 140. Substrates are coated by spraying or brushing with a composition comprising a mixture of an organic polyisocyanate with a diisocyanate modified polyesteramide, as defined in the parent Specification, to which mixture is added a solvent in which the organic polyisocyanate and the modified polyesteramide are soluble. The substrate may be of textile material, e.g. of glass fibre or polyethylene terephthalate, which may be knitted, wood, or metal, e.g. mild steel, bronze, or aluminium sheet. Prior to the application of the composition to a textile material, the material may be impregnated with water or an organic liquid in which the coating composition is substantially insoluble. Aluminium sheets may receive a priming coat of a zinc chromate primer, prior to the application of several coats of the coating composition.
