913,174. Carburetters. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES. Dec. 18, 1959 [Jan. 9, 1959], No. 17990/61. Divided out of 913,173. Class 7(3) Means for automatically bringing into action or putting out of action the starting and cold running devices of carburetters for internalcombustion engines, comprises a bimetallic spiral 5 sensitive to the temperature of the engine cooling water 14 and to the temperature of air heated by the engine, the spiral being anchored by its inner end to a spindle 6 which is integral with one of the walls of a chamber in which the engine cooling water circulates and the spindle projecting to the outside of the chamber. The Specification refers to starting devices comprising a choke valve or an auxiliary starting carburetter.
