A junction piece for pipes has two pairs 9 , 9<SP>1</SP>; 14, 14<SP>1</SP> of spaced parallel passages arranged at right angles to one another with the passages of one of the pairs communicating each with a different passage of the other pair, the passages having the ends thereof adapted for connection to pipe ends and the axes thereof all lying in a common plane. The passages may have a plug cock 16 rotatable mounted therein. The junction piece may be made in two halves which are joined by a clamp bolt preferably with an intermediate packing.
