Abstract
911,683. Supporting racks. CANNING & CO. Ltd., W. Aug. 16, 1961 [Aug. 17, 1960], No. 28488/60. Class 41. Racks for supporting articles in electro-plating processes, comprise a pair of vertical rectangular frames, equipped with work - supporting hooks, which coact to hold the articles securely. The frames 10 and 11 carry supporting elements 13 fitted with hooks, arranged so that each supporting element, or group of elements, on one frame coacts with a supporting element, or group of elements, on the other frame in supporting an article on the rack; the two frames are movable relative to each other, whereby the distance between coacting supporting elements on the two frames can be extended, after articles have been loaded on to the rack, for the purpose of securing said articles firmly in position. Unidirectional movement between the frames 10 and 11 is achieved by a movable collar 17 having a lateral peg 19 riding on the concave surface of circular cam-plate 15. Reverse movement is achieved through the agency of the spring 20.
