Abstract

910,038. Diazotype photoprinting material. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORPORATION. July 4, 1961 [Sept. 6, 1960], No. 24177/61. Class 98 (2). A base having a fluorescent or phosphorescent surface is provided thereover with a one or two component diazotype layer, or such surface may be first coated with a layer of lightcoloured pigment to avoid " quenching "; and contrast, speed and other properties of the material are thereby improved. In an example, a daylight fluorescent paper formed with a coating of powdered resin treated with one or more fluorescent dyes is first coated with a slurry of sodium caseinate and silica pigment, dried, and then provided with a specified coupler-containing diazo layer. Further bases, pigments and binders therefor, fluorescent dyes and diazo sensitizers for the purpose are listed.
