Abstract

909,730. Circuit assemblies. M.L. AVIATION CO. Ltd. July 24, 1961 [July 25, 1960], No. 25818/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 37. [Also in Group XL (c)] In a relay comprising a plurality of switching transistors which are controlled in parallel by respective secondary windings of a transformer fed from a common transistor oscillator, whereby the conductive states of the transistors are switched when the oscillator is energized, the switching transistors and the oscillator are each embedded in an electrically insulating medium. In one arrangement the secondary windings are all embedded in the same block as the oscillator which is provided with sockets into which the respective transistor switching units are plugged. In a second arrangement each secondary winding is embedded in the same block as its associated switching transistor, the switching units being so mounted that the secondary windings embedded therein are brought sufficiently close to the primary winding in the oscillator block to effect electromagnetic coupling between them. The oscillator block is provided with a base fitted with pins for plugging into a source of power to energize the oscillator.
