909,487. Toothed gearing. CORDEY, R. F. Feb. 24, 1961 [Feb. 25, 1960], No. 6583/60. Class 80 (1). In a gear-box of the kind in which input and output shafts are mounted at right angles to one another and there are provided several openings 11 adjacent which detachable cover or shaft supporting members 19 are secured, each cover or shaft supporting member is formed with a circumferential flange 21 of generally square profile adapted to abut a flat external facing around the adjacent opening, the facing being extended to surround two alternating sets of tapped holes 14, 15 of which one set 15 receives attachment screws 20 passing through the corner of the flange, whilst the other set 14 is left exposed by the flange to permit securement of the gear-box to a bracket by separate screws. The carrier plate may have arcuate slots to permit angular adjustment of the gear-box.
