Abstract
908,920. Piles. SKANSKA CEMENTGJUTERIET A.B. Dec. 7, 1960 [Dec. 8, 1959], No. 42188/60. Class 68 (2). A concrete pile assembly comprises pile sections each having a metal plate at its ends with at least one apertured projection and/or at least one socket intersected by a transverse hole, the projections fitting into the sockets and members extending through the apertures and holes to hold the plates in intimate contact. In Figs. 1 and 4 concrete pile sections with reinforcement rods 11 have end-plates 1, 1a with projections 3 having apertures 5 and fittings 6 with sockets 8 having a transverse hole 10. When sections are assembled into projections 3 in the sockets 8, a member 12 is driven through the hole 10 and aperture 5, and is deformed as shown in Fig. 4. In Fig. 5, one pile section has an end-plate 24 with projections 3 whilst the other has a thick end-plate 23 incorporating the sockets 8 and transverse holes 10. 25 is an iron core, and 26, 27 are reinforcing rods.
