908,909. Forcing liquids by gaseous pressure. MUELLER, L. W. March 14, 1961 [May 13, 1960], No. 16926/60. Class 102(2). [Also in Group XXIX] An aerosol dispensing valve comprises a plunger member 12 having an upstanding flange 13a which is radially spaced from a tubular stem 16 to form an annular chamber 19. A slot 23 is provided through the wall of the stem 16 to connect the chamber 19 to the bore of the stem, the slot starting from below the upper end of the flange 13a. The stem passes through an aperture 7 of a gasket 6 and the plunger is loaded by a spring 15 so that the flange normally seats on the gasket. The valve is opened by depressing the stem which may have an outlet nozzle 26. The lower end of the stem is preferably received on a boss 17 of the valve plunger.
