[Also in Group XXVIII] In a mixer having a body with inlets for hot and cold water and an outlet portion 20 into which an outlet member 10 may be rotatably fitted, the latter is retained in the portion 20 by means of a retaining element 23 provided on, or associated with, the outlet member 10 or the outlet portion 20, which can engage a circumferentially extending groove 24 in the co-operating portion 20 or member 10. As shown, the outlet member comprises two coaxial tubes and is sealed in the portion 20 by sealing rings 18 which cooperate with portions 21, 22. A slot is provided leading into the groove 24 by means of which the retaining element 23 may be withdrawn from the groove. The steel ball 23 may be replaced by a spring loaded radial peg. Alternatively a circlip is provided which is located within an annular groove provided on the member 10, the ends of the circlip being provided with projecting portions. In this case the slot extends through the entire thickness of the wall of the portion 20 so that the ends of the circlip, when in position, can be engaged by a suitable tool to facilitate insertion and removal from the groove 24. In another modification a set-screw is provided in the portion 20 which can be moved into and out of engagement with a groove provided in the member 10.
