Abstract

A composition suitable for use in the production of moulded and extruded articles, comprises poly S -caprolactam in which is incorporated an ageing inhibitor which is an antioxidant for rubber and contains at least 50% by weight of a water-insoluble diarylamine-ketone condensation product. Specified inhibitors are a low temperature diphenylamine-acetone reaction product and a mixture of a complex diarylamine-ketone reaction product with N:N1-diphenyl-p-phenylene diamine. Examples are given. Specifications 401,353, 687,233 and U.S.A. Specifications 1,906,935 and 1,975,167 are referred to.
