905,261. Sawing. KOELEGA, W., and JETTEN, E. J. June 29, 1961 [June 30, 1960], No. 23538/61. Class 145. A sawing-machine comprises a swivelling frame 1, an internally-toothed annular saw 5 which is of either constant thickness throughout or has its greatest thickness adjacent the internal teeth 7 and is carried on the frame on three supports 11 distributed over the periphery of the saw, a motor 12 for rotating the saw through at least one of the supports, and fluid-operated means 2 operative upon the frame for moving the saw relatively to a workpiece 6. The saw is supported in a trough-shaped recess in the frame 1 on the three supports 11, each of which consists of an endless chain 14 trained over sprocket-wheels 13 on shafts 17 journalled in the frame and arranged to mesh with external teeth 8 on the saw; the teeth 8 are received in central peripheral recesses in the sprocket-wheels 13. At least one of the shafts 17 of at least one of the chains 14 is driven by the motor 12. The frame 1 can be swung about its pivot 4 by hydraulic or pneumatic means. In order to enable removal of the saw, one part of the free end of the frame is formed so as to be tiltable relatively to the frame and carries one of the supports 11.
