905,260. Cathode - ray storage tubes. FERNSEH G.m.b.H. June 1, 1961 [June 1, 1960], No. 19793/61. Class 39 (1). A charge storage target 8 is spaced from a grid 5 by wire distance pieces 6. The wires, or wire frame formed from a single length of wire, are welded to the mounting ring 1 for the grid 5, the wires and the grid being strained across the inner rim 3 and secured by a flat ring 7 pressed into the groove 2. The cross-over points of the wires 6 lie outside the rim 3. The storage target may be of glass and the grid 5 are wires 6 of copper. The target structure may be used in an image-orthicon or in a storage tube in which the change pattern is laid down by a writing gun.
