Abstract

905,126. Filling containers with liquid. HOPKINS & SONS Ltd., G. June 1, 1960 [June 29, 1959], No. 22260/59. Class 21. A racking machine for filling valved casks and having several racking head assemblies secured to a rotatable reservoir by brackets 30, includes a resilient member 27 between each bracket 30 and its associated racking head assembly to allow relative movement between the racking head 7 and the valve of the cask to ensure an accurate engagement and a gas and liquid tight seal therebetween. The resilient member 27 carries pneumatic means 17 for moving the racking head 7 into and from the valve of the cask, and the machine includes a rotary table adapted to bring the casks below said racking heads.
