Abstract

903,658. Wall and ceiling linings. GIEBEL, H. Jan. 19, 1960 [Feb. 6, 1959], No. 1951/60. Class 20 (4). A device for fastening building material panels 5, Fig. 1, such as plaster-board, to ceilings, walls, &c., comprises a hollow, symmetrical slotted profile-bar 1 and a carrier 4 provided with toggle locking means 45 insertable through the said slots. The carrier 4 comprises wire bent to form two co-planar trapeziums 41, 42 and upstanding portions 44 surmounted by the toggle locking means 45. Niches 46, 47 formed between the two trapeziums are provided to receive the thumb and index finger of a manipulating hand whereby the two locking means 45 can be urged together permitting their introduction through a slot prior to rotation of the carrier through 90 degrees to the position shown in Fig. 1. Alternative forms of profile bar are disclosed.
