Abstract

A pesticidal composition comprises dimethyl dichlorovinylphosphate in admixture with one or more diluents belonging to the group consisting of natural or synthetic waxes, e.g. beeswax, carnauba and montan wax, hydrogenated and/or non-hydrogenated vegetable or animal fats or oils, e.g. hydrogenated cottonseed oil, sunflower oil, fish oil and linseed oil, esters having a molecular weight above 250, e.g. dibutyl phthalate, dioctyl phthalate, dinonyl phthalate and dioctyl adipate and alcohols having at least 10 carbon atoms, preferably represented by the general formula CxHyOH in which x may be 10 to 24 and y may be 10 to 45, e.g. cetyl alcohol. Preferably the dimethyl dichlorovinyl phosphate is present in an amount between 1 and 60% based on the weight of the diluent. The composition where solid may be moulded into desired shapes such as blocks, cylinders, pellets, granules and sticks. Specifications 771,634 and 783,697 are referred to.
