A doll's head has eye openings in the face structure and a pivotally-mounted frame, eyeball sockets with eyelids on the frame and positioned behind the eye opening, eyeballs pivotally mounted within the sockets, link mechanism coupling the eyeballs and pendulum means pivoted on the frame operable to move the link mechanism and thus the eyeballs such that by movement of the doll's head the frame can rock about its pivot to cause movement of the eyelids, and the pendulum can swing to cause movement of the eyeballs about their pivots. The eyeball sockets s and eyelids s<SP>1</SP> are formed integrally with two corners of a rectangular frame o pivoting on pivots n of wire k extending between moulded lugs d at the sides of the head and passing through slots in and supporting bar g secured to an extension of the lugs. The pivots project into recesses in the eyeball sockets which mount pivots u for eyeballs v. A wire link connecting the eyeball is secured to an arm x on the eyeballs and has a loop y<SP>2</SP> through which passes the wire 3 of a pendulum bob 4. The pendulum wire pivots on a pivot pin 5 in a central projection 2 of the frame. The movement of the wire is limited by a slot in a guide member 6 secured to extensions of the frame. A projection of the frame has a tongue simulating extension t<SP>1</SP> which projects through the mouth aperture c when the doll tilts, simultaneously lowering the eyelids as the frame pivots and swivels the eyes about pivots u as the doll tilts sideways and the pendulum swings.
