Abstract

902,922. Bracelets. POON YUEN SANG. Feb. 22, 1961 [Dec. 9, 1960], No. 42505/60. Class 43. An expansible bracelet comprises a series of pairs of links and means for detachably connecting the links together, the means comprising an aperture formed in a surface of one link and projecting means extending from the opposed surface of another link and adapted to engage in the aperture and a yieldable tab on one link bendable relatively thereto into a position effectively to restrict the aperture to prevent withdrawal therefrom of the projecting means. A lazy tong linkage comprises hollow links a and d pivoting on a central pivot e, each link d having a base-plate c with a headed hollow rivet h which passes into a shaped aperture m in the base-plate b of the link a and is retained therein by bending over part of the aperture a claw I integral with the link a. The aperture has an enlarged portion through which the head of the rivet passes, a smaller portion through which the shank of the rivet passes and a slot for inserting a tool to lift the claw to remove a link. A torsion spring in the pivot e has its ends retained by tongues on the links and urges the rivet into the small portion of the aperture. The claw has a curved edge to prevent impeding the pivoting of the links. The base-plate b of the link a has a hole b2 for engagement of a rivet h on the baseplate e of the link d.
