In a device for lubricating shafts, the rocking of a pivoted track 17 effects the lubrication of a shaft located in guide-blocks 20, having lubrication holes 21 therein, and also effects the release of a previously lubricated shaft so that it can roll to an unloading position 27. The track 17 is pivoted between brackets 18 and is connected, via arms 15, 14, and a spring-loaded ram 13, to a piston (not shown) of a pump 12 so that, by rocking the track 17 by means of a handle 16 attached thereto, the pump is operated and lubricant is supplied to the shaft through holes 21 in the blocks 20. A releasable stop 26 is carried by a bracket 25 which, along with the brackets 18 &c. is mounted on a reservoir 11. In use, shafts are fed down an inclined track 28 until the first shaft abuts the stop 26 and consequently the second shaft is in alignment with the blocks 20. On depressing the: handle 16 to effect lubrication of the second shaft, the first shaft is released from the stop 26 and rolls to the unloading position 27, and-the blocks 20, being connected by bars 19 to the track 17, are raised so as to retain the second shaft during lubrication thereof. On releasing the handle 16, the spring-loaded ram 13 effects the lowering of the blocks 20 so that the second shaft is free to roll into abutment with the stop 26. At this stage a third shaft from the feed-track 28 is moved into alignment with the blocks 20 and the process is now continuous. The first shaft, having served the purpose of aligning the second shaft is loaded on to the feed-track 28.
