902,608. Finishing yarns. MOULINAGE ET RETORDERIE DE CHAVANOZ. Dec. 19, 1960 [Dec. 18, 1959], No. 43645/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 120 (3). An assembly, i.e. two yarns which are sufficiently cohesive to be processed together in subsequent textile operations, of bulked yarns of a synthetic polymer, e.g. nylon, is formed by applying high S and Z twist respectively to separate ends of a yarn having an initial low twist, fixing the high twist and then untwisting, e.g. continuously by use of a false twister, the S and Z twists being so related to each other that the tensile strengths of the resulting separate bulked yarns are equal, then doubling or otherwise combining the yarns.
