Abstract

902,063. Magnetic record heads. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGSG.m.b.H. May 18, 1961, No. 18144/61. Class 40 (2). In a magnetic recording head, the spacer in the working gap consists of a metal foil and at least one foil of non-magnetic electrically insulating material which is thin in relation to the metal foil, and may be of mica. Where only one such insulating foil is used, it is placed between the metal foil and the trailing pole shoe. Where a head is employed for use with a record tape travelling in both directions, an additional mica foil can be provided between the metal foil and the other pole shoe.
