Abstract

901,803. Securing coils for dynamo-electric machines. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 8, 1959 [Sept. 11, 1958], No. 30625/59. Class 35. A device for receiving windings 5 in slots 4 in a cylindrical rotor 1 comprises members 3 passed over the ends of shaft 2, the tips 7 of the radial arms being bent over the coils to hold them against centrifugal force. The members, which engage the end faces of rotor 1, are of a rigid non-magnetic material such as brass and the member is so shaped as to keep slots 4 clear for insertion of the coils.
