Abstract

A gerotor pump, Figure 1, has the usual male lobed rotor 16 with n lobes meshed in the female lobed annulus 12 with n + 1 lobes, the two being both but relatively rotatable on parallel axes 14,18. The improvement consists of making the lobes helically extending which smooths pressure peaks and reduces noise. <IMAGE>
