Abstract

901,045. Valves. SOC. AUXILIAIRE D'INDUSTRIE S.p.r.L. June 12, 1959 [June 19, 1958], No. 20159/59. Class 135. Means for attaching an actuating motor 2 to a valve 12 comprises a shaft 3 clamped between members 4 that are mounted on a shaft 5 secured at each end to the valve flanges 11 by gripping bands 7 and sleeves 14, 15 receiving the upper end of the shaft 3 and connected by rods 16, 17 with a band 21 that can be tightened to grip a flange 22 at the top of the valve. Also embraced by the band 21 is a spindle 23 which receives a rod 28 engaging a hole 29 in a plate 30 whereby the position of the latter, which carries the motor 2 and is rotatable on the shaft 3, can be adjusted. The actuation of the valve by the motor can be through gearing, belts, chain, &c.
