900,912. Devitrifiable frits. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Oct. 24, 1960 [Nov. 5, 1959], No. 37589/59. Class 56. [Also in Group XL (a)] The faceplate may be sealed to the frustoconical body portion of a cathode-ray tube by means of a devitrifiable frit comprising by weight 75-82% PbO, 7-14% ZnO, 6.5-12% B 2 O s , 1.5-3% Na 2 O and 0-3% A. 2 O 3 . The devitrifiable frit also comprises 5-7% AgO or 4.5-6% Ag, which renders the devitrified glass subsequently formed, by heating to about 450‹ C., of an electrically conducting nature. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 822,272.
