Abstract

899,530. Metal sheets; roofing. BRITISH ALUMINIUM CO. Ltd. Oct. 30, 1959 [Nov. 4, 1958], No. 35440/58. Classes 20(2) and 20(4) An aluminium or alloy sheet 1 is provided with channels 2, 3 at opposite edges by which it may be connected to a similar sheet 1a to form, e.g. a roof. Other channels of similar or shallower section may be formed between and parallel to the channels 2, 3. The channel 2 has walls 5, 6 which fit into the channel 3 and a flange 7 engages with a hook portion 11 on the second channel. The sheets 1, 1a may be attached to a support 13 by a clip 14, a bolt 15, and a similar clip 17. In a roof, Fig. 3, flashing 21 is supported by a clip 30, 31 retained on the channel by flaps 32 bent down from the flashing, and a filler piece 27 rests on the metal sheet.
