Abstract

898,942. Gymnastic apparatus. SKINNER, E. M. July 16, 1958 [July 16, 1957], No. 22740/58. Class 132(1) [Also in Group XXV] A transverse bar is adjustably supported above the ground by two substantially U- shaped members whose free ends are pivoted thereto, the bar and supporting members being formed of lengths of metal tubing 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, which may be galvanized, of substantially identical dimensions connected together by substantially identical fittings. As shown, each fitting consists of a pair of members 11, 12, with ends 11a, 12a adapted to receive the end of one tube and ends 11b, 12b adapted to embrace another tube, the members being held together by a nut and bolt 13, 14. The assembly may be held in place by pegs 15 or members 4, 5, 8, 9 may project to engage the ground. A bar 16, a swing 17 and a slide (not shown) may be used with the frame which may be dismantled for packing.
