Abstract
898,210. Electromagnetic relays. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. July 3, 1959 [July 23, 1958], No. 22971/59. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XXXIX] In a selector switch having cross-points comprising sealed-in contacts operated by flux passing therethrough each cross-point has an individual operating coil, but hold coils common to a column of cross-points is provided, and magnetic screening plates are provided between columns of cross-points. As shown, Fig. 2, a frame 13 has positioned therein, units comprising a magnetic screening plate 12 triangular support pieces 15; cross-points comprising four sealedin contacts whose terminals are encased in plastic mouldings which at one end are held in holes in a support bar 11, and at the other end are formed as parallelograms 4 which abut one another; cross-point operating coils 2; and a hold coil 3. Each block 4 has a recess 8 for holding a decoupling rectifier, Fig. 3, terminals 9 and 22 being connected to opposite sides of the rectifier. Terminal 22 connects to the cross-point operating coil whose other end is connected to terminal 7. By means of the parallelogram-like disposition of the contacts and their terminals, the rear connections to the multiple can be made by bare wire multipling as shown in Fig. 4. At the front side since the terminals 6 are vertical strips, they may easily be bent alternately to the right and to the left as shown in Fig. 5 to permit bare wire multipling on this side also. Energizing of a cross-point coil is effected by applying one pole of a source to the vertical bare wire 20 and the other to the horizontal bare wire 18.
