Abstract

896,369. Automatic - exchange systems. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. June 23, 1960 [July 8, 1959], No. 23539/59. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XL (b)] In an arrangement for transmitting pulsecoded information, such as dial impulses, a differentiating circuit 6 (Fig. 2, not shown), produces sharp pulses of opposite signs at the beginning and end of each impulse to be transmitted; these sharp pulses, or sharp pulses of like sign produced from them by full-wave rectification, are transmitted to a receiver comprising a bi-stable circuit 7 (Fig. 3, not shown), which is thereby triggered to generate an output impulse corresponding to the original impulse, this output impulse being applied via a terminal 8 to the base of a transistor T3 which brings about the operation of a relay A in response to each such impulse. A full-wave rectifier X protects the transistor T3 in case of potential reversal. Transformers 12 are connected through terminals 9 and 10 to the speech circuit.
