Abstract

896,059. Stud and socket fasteners. CAMLOC FASTENER CORPORATION. April 27, 1960, No. 14678/60. Class 44. In a sheet metal receptacle for a rotatable stud carrying a cross-pin, the portion 10 which engages the pin is supported from the surface to which the receptacle is adapted to be fixed, through ears 22, by spring metal configurations 21, 24 integral with the ears. The portion 10 comprises openings 12 for initial insertion of the cross-pin, helical ramps 13 up which the pin ends are driven on stud rotation and detents 15, having stop ends 16, into which the pin ends drop for final engagement. The ears 22 may be screwed directly to the surface or, as shown in Fig. 4, may be sprung under lugs 29 on a supporting plate 28.
