895,397. Tools for smoothing plaster &c. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 22, 1961 [Feb. 26, 1960], No. 6818/60. Class 61. A tool for smoothing plaster or cementitious material in internal and external angles of walls or other surfaces comprises an acuteangled nose portion for treating re-entrant corners and a tail portion having a substantially V-shaped notch for treating salient corners. The tool, Fig. 1, has the form of a truncated pyramid having a sharp nose B formed by two adjacent faces and a tail portion bounded by three adjacent faces of the pyramid and having a notch C of V-shape with its apex directed towards the nose. In a modification, Fig 2, the tool is formed of rigid sheet material, the nose K comprising an upwardly inclined trough with its sides cut away towards the front forming working edges 1, 2. which converge to form the tip of the nose The tail comprises a ridge upwardly inclined towards the back and having its edges 3, 4 substantially at right-angles.
