A perambulator has an openwork metal or synthetic plastic carrying basket or tray 1 carried between the bottom of the body and the axles 6 or the chassis. The basket may be retained in position by an elastic cord 4 passed under the axles 6 and carrying clips or hooks 5 on the cord ends engaging the basket. The body may have fittings engaging the basket or the latter may be provided with clips to engage the axles. Alternative securing means are described. The basket when made of metal wires may have the wires coated with synthetic plastic. The wires may be interwoven or welded together.
