893,892. Cutting lengths from a stream of butter &c. DAIRY PRODUCE PACKERS Ltd., and SPENCER, A. R. Jan. 27, 1961 [Feb. 5, 1960], No. 4229/60. Class 87(2). A stream of butter sliding down a stainless steel shoot 11 strikes a flap 13 and comes to rest against a stop plate 16. Movement of the flap 13 operates a valve 41 in a hydraulic or pneumatic circuit (see Fig. 3 not shown), and causes cutters 12 to move transversely through the butter and the plate 16 to be raised to allow the cut length of butter to be released.
