Abstract

893,182. Shoe cleaning machines. THARALDSEN, N. F. April 19, 1960, No. 13593/60. Class 138 (1). In a machine for cleaning the soles of shoes and comprising a grid of parallel bars (for supporting the shoe, and between which move brushes 3 each affixed to an endless travelling belt 2, the bars 1 are formed with lateral strengthening webs 1<SP>1</SP> which rest on transverse supporting members 32 spaced along the length of the bars. The height of the belt 2 may be adjusted relatively to the bars 1 by raising or lowering brackets 14 supporting the jouranls 13 and 12 (not shown) carrying the rollers 4, 10, 11 supporting and driving the belt 2. Dirt isremoved from the brushes 3 by a rotating brush 16 and is collected in a tray 17.
