892,728. Feeding conveyer buoyancy apparatus. JOY MANUFACTURING CO. April 26, 1960 [May 11, 1959], No. 14551/60. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (2). In a method of feeding coal 60 to an endless scraper conveyer 7, the coal is dumped on to a pair of inflatable nylon members 30, one disposed at each side of the conveyer, and air is pumped into the members so that they swell to urge the coal inwards on to the conveyer 7 as shown. Each member 30 is covered by a thick protecting member 56 and is secured to the conveyer frame 2 by clips.
